In the novel, Franks parents want frank to be released, this is acceptable even with the circumstances, its there son and they don’t want him to be in jail for the rest of his life.
Also they don’t know the full extent of what he has done. They think he’s in there for assault, not sexual assault and murder. I think parents should always defend their children because its there family no matter what they do, right or wrong. Frank should have someone on his side, he put his life on the line in the war for people, someone should have some kind of sympathy for him.
